Important Ride Information

  • Our roads are not flat. If you’re visiting from a flat area, ride with the letter of group you’re used to and do not be discouraged by the seemingly slow pace posted.
  • Rides depart promptly from the designated location at the time listed. Please arrive early so you are ready to ride at the stated departure time.
  • Helmets are required, and we recommend a personal ID, water bottle, spare tube and pump.
  • Headphones are strictly prohibited.
  • The use of aero-bars on group rides is strictly prohibited.
  • Please be sure to read the ride description carefully before you show up for a ride. All rides are categorized based on terrain and average pace. If you are not capable of maintaining the advertised pace on faster rides, be prepared to get dropped and find your own way home.
  • Faster riders are expected to respect the advertised pace on slower rides. Those who fail to do so will be asked not to return.
  • Rides are generally held if temperatures are above 40 degrees and there is no precipitation one hour before the scheduled departure time.
  • Mountain bike rides are subject to cancellation due to trail conditions. When in doubt, contact the ride leaders with any questions.
  • Out-of-town visitors and local guests are always welcome. If you are not a BRBC Member, we ask that you kindly fill out a rider release form. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for each minor. In order to save time and insure the ride start is not delayed, print out the Rider Release Form, then give the signed form to your ride leader.
